Easy Science

I highly recommend these websites and blogs for getting your head around some of the harder topics. The difficulty level varies, so poke around, ask questions and find something that suits you. Going back to archives and previous posts is very useful and saves the grief of asking a question and not receiving a reply.

Needless to say none of the health professionals listed give consultations via the internet. The list is far from comprehensive and if you come across something interesting, please let me know.

1. Dr Kurt Harris – www.archevore.com (prev known as PaNu)

2. Drs Michael and Mary Dan Eades – www.proteinpower.com

3. Dr William Davies – www.heartscanblog.org

4. Whole Health Source

5. Hyperlipid

6. Dr Emily Deans – Evolutionary Psychiatry

7. Nephropal

8. The International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics

9. Metabolism Society

10. Weston A.Price Foundation

11. Dr Andreas Eenfeldt – Diet Doctor

12. Dr Briffa

13. Jamie Scott – ThatPaleoGuy

  1. I really like your blog. The breast feeding articles in particular were very interesting.

I am disappointed that you don’t have Perfect Health Diet here. I consider his blog among the best.

  2. Do you know of a handy online resource that point to something like the top 5 studies that support the general ideas of paleo. Books like The Smarter Science of Slim and Wheat Belly have extensive references, but unfortunately pointing a skeptic to that doesn’t work out so great because it is way too easy for them to turn around and point to other studies that seem to contradict them. What would be particularly valuable is something brief that points out the main studies in favour, and the main ones opposed, and what is seen as the basic problems with the ones opposed (ie, claimed to be low carb but wasn’t actually, ignored non-supportive data, didn’t account for confounding factors, etc).

It would really, really help for a couple of people very close to me who are still extremely skeptical of what I’m saying, thanks to the constant messaging from authorities that grains are an important part of a balanced diet and dietary fat is terrible for you.

Thank you for anything that will make this more, pardon the pun, digestible for them.

  3. My go to blog (apart from this one now!) is marksdailyapple.com. Very balance, huge and a lovely community. Also has a good search function to get around it. Jack Kruse is also very interesting, but very detailed, and not for the faint hearted, I only grasp enough to marvel at our complex bodies,
    Cheers

  4. Hello

I have just found your blog and I just wanted to let you know that your last link is broken, you have your site linked in with it as well so it doesn’t work: 13. Jamie Scott – ThatPaleoGuy

    Cheers
